Refund policy

Adapted from the chronovogue.in structure (damage-only window, unboxing video as proof, replacement-or-refund). Rewritten rather than copied: that page still carries another business's support address (Clovecart), and duplicate policy text across stores is both a copyright question and a duplicate-content one.

Returns and Refunds

We want every Chronobazar timepiece to arrive exactly as it left us. If yours does not, this is how we put it right.

Damaged or defective on arrival

Tell us within 48 hours of delivery. Email [support@chronobazar.com] with:

  • Your order number
  • What is wrong, in a line or two
  • Clear photographs of the damage
  • A single unbroken video of the parcel being opened

The unboxing video is what lets us tell shipping damage from damage after opening, so we ask for it on every claim. Start recording before the outer packaging is cut.

What happens next

  1. We review your claim and reply within [N] business days.
  2. If it is approved, we arrange the return and cover the return shipping.
  3. Once the watch reaches us, you choose a replacement or a full refund — a replacement is subject to that model being in stock.
  4. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days of the returned watch arriving. Your bank may take a few days more to show it.

What is not covered

  • Damage from misuse, dropping, or mishandling after delivery
  • Normal wear — strap creasing, bracelet stretch, case marks from daily use
  • Water damage beyond the water resistance printed on the product page
  • Any claim raised more than 48 hours after delivery
  • A watch returned without its box, warranty card, or accessories

Order cancellations

An order can be cancelled any time before it ships. Once a tracking number is issued the parcel is with the courier and cannot be recalled.

Warranty

Separate from returns: every Chronobazar watch carries a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects in the movement. That is a repair or replacement, not a refund, and it runs from the delivery date.

Before you publish this — two things to settle

1. It contradicts the storefront. The FAQ section on the home page says "14 days on unworn watches, in original condition with all packaging. Return shipping is on us." This policy says damage-only, 48 hours. A customer who screenshots the FAQ and is then refused under the policy has a fair complaint, and Razorpay will side with them in a chargeback.

Pick one and make both say it:

  • Keep the 14-day window — better conversion on a first-time brand nobody knows yet, and it is close to what most Indian D2C stores promise. Then this policy needs a change-of-mind section.
  • Go damage-only — lower return costs, but edit the FAQ block in the theme editor to match, and expect it to cost you some first orders.

2. Damage-only may not be enough under Indian law. The Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020 require a seller to accept returns of goods that are defective, deficient, or not as described. A blanket no-returns-except-damage line is unenforceable against that. Worth ten minutes with whoever does your compliance before it goes live.
